Southgate Firefighters Charity Inc is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity, founded in 2018 by the dedicated firefighters of Southgate. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to extend our service beyond emergencies by providing direct assistance, relief, and hope to individuals and families in need.
We operate with integrity, transparency, and a community-first approach—ensuring that every dollar goes directly toward making a difference.

Why We Do It
Emergency Relief Fund – Assisting local families affected by fires, accidents, and unexpected crises.
Community Support Programs – Providing food, clothing, and essential items to those struggling financially.
Fundraising & Awareness – Organizing events to raise funds and promote community safety initiatives.
Partnership Outreach – Working with local organizations, schools, and civic groups to expand our reach.
Annual Charity BBQ – Food, music, and family activities for fundraising.
Holiday Toy & Coat Drive – Collecting gifts and warm clothing for families in need.
Fire Safety Awareness Week – Education programs in schools and community centers.
Charity 5K “Run for Rescue” – Fun run to support emergency relief programs.

- Where It Goes: All toys donated go to the Hermosa Beach Police Toy Drive.
